DESCRIPTION:Introduction\nThis program develops participant’s understanding of the project procurement processes from planning, conducting, to controlling and close out. The participant is taken on a journey from defining project requirements planning through to developing contract strategy, tendering, contract management and contract closure. The program also covers understanding of key contractual terms, applicable models of contracts delivery and the major activities in each phase of the procurement process. Tools and techniques applicable at each phase will be discussed. Where appropriate, relevant cases and examples will be used in this workshop.\n \nTraining Objectives\nThis supply chain program examines the full life cycle of project procurement, which includes both buyer and seller perspectives and explores cost estimating techniques to develop proposals.\nUpon completion of this program, participants are expected to be able to do the following:\n\nDetermine project procurement requirements and schedule.\nDevelop a procurement plan.\nAnalyze contract types and rationale for use.\nDevelop proposal documentation from a buyer and seller perspective.\nDevelop appropriate selection criteria and evaluate bids.\nDevelop strategies to evaluate, manage, and close contract relationships with vendors.\nAnalyze ethics from a procurement perspective.\nConduct estimation to support proposal development.\n\nWho should Attend\n\nProject Managers/ Assistant Project Managers/ Project Coordinators/ Project Expeditors/ Project team members who want to improve their project management skill Individuals/ Junior Executives who are new to project management.\nProcurement Manager and Procurement executives\nManagers, executives, and others who desire to know more about the right way of managing project’s procurement and thereby achieve the desired results.\nFunctional managers and team members who are in leadership role in a project.\n\nProgram Structure:\nThe Program structure follows the guidelines of PMI – PMP Certification Program.
